Freighting Policy
Freighting Charge:
We make a single freight charge that applies to most order placed regardless of size or destination within New Zealand.This charge is $7.50 and in most cases does not cover the full cost of delivery. Action Martial Arts Supplies subsidise the cost for you making our delivery charge one of the most economical in the country.
This is added automatically for online orders but for Postal or telephone orders please add $7.50 to the cheque or to the money transfer to cover delivery.
Exceptions:
Odd shaped or oversized packages that courier companies and NZ Post consider outside their normal size range and for which they make an extra charge.
These packages may include items like Bo, Naginata, Jo, and other long weapons, Mats, large punching bags & similar oversized items.
Deliveries to Rural addresses where we incur a surcharge
South Island deliveries normally cost us extra.
Some small parcels may be supplied by post, esp where a postal address is given. These items are not traceable.
Where we incur an extra charge this will be added to the invoice charge manually.
Delivery times:
Allow 24 hours from order placement for our selection and packing to take place
Goods are then taken to the Fastway Couriers on a daily basis.
In the North Island Fastway have a 24 hour service. For the South Island they advertise a 48 hour service. Sometimes deliveries can be a day or so outside these windows, depending on factors such as when the parcel gets to the depot, when the order is received (perhaps the office is unattended for a day or so) and so on.
Above times do not include weekends as couriers do not operate weekends.
We suggest you allow one full week and if your parcel has not been received, please contact your local Fastway depot and if no joy please then contact us.
Accuracy of delivery:
Orders placed via the website are more likely to be delivered on-time to the correct address as we have your details clearly recorded on the computer generated order form from prompted information supplied by you. Telephone, email and postal orders are usually OK but occasionally the information received is not complete which can lead to handling or delivery errors. Full and detailed information is requested in order to serve you better.
Returned Goods

Where we have made an error in supply we will cover the cost of freight to re-issue the correct goods once the returned goods are in our hands by prepaid return freight and are found to be in unused, resalable condition.
Where a selection error is made by a customer (wrong size or item selected etc) all replacement freight is to be covered by the customer at actual cost once the goods are returned to us and found to be in unused, resalable condition. when requesting a replacement, please return to Action Martial Arts Supplies together with a cheque for $7.50 and this is usually sufficient.
